Tips on Applying for a UK Loan

Here are some tips for when you apply for credit cards:

1. If possible I would advise that you get a copy of your credit file first to ensre that everything is in working order.

2 . Ensure that you enter all your details correct, failure to do this could result in a black mark against your credit file.

3. Its always worth checking and comparing loans APR, If you have had credit before then it maybe worth trying a more popular loan with a good interest rate, if your new to applying for credit it maybe more suitable if you have a look at companies that don't offer the best interest rate as this may mean they are more likely to accept your application.

4. One very important part which is also sometimes hard to control is the amount of credit searches on your credit file, everytime that a company searches your credit file a footprint is left with details of the company that searched your credit file. I would reccomend that you try and keep the amount of searches on your credit file to about 3-5 per month.

5. One important check that is made is to see if you are registered on the electoral roll, this is a good way to check to see if you are able to vote. Companies use this information to validate that you do live at your address, remember the loan companies are assesing the credit risk so everything that validates who you are is a good mark against your application.
